  1. Do the drawers lock?

    Is there anything to keep the drawers closed when you're wheeling it around? I can see, going down a curb or something, the 3 drawers sliding open and wrenches everywhere...

    It would be even better if there were a common bar to lock them closed... But at this price, I would be happy to just have them not spill open.

    1. As you close the drawer, there is an internal cam or catch that latches in place to keep each drawer for opening. To open you have to give the drawer a slight yank on the handle. You should have no problem with the drawers opening on their own. Each of the three individual toolbox sections is individually removable and lockable using a locking rod that you down through an eyelet on the front of each toolbox section. Northern Tool will also sell you additional toolbox sections if needed.

    2. The drawers sort of snap closed they do stay closed even when heavily loaded. You need to tug a bit to get them open initiallly. This is a great setup and much stronger than it looks..

    3. The drawers have an internal latch of some kind and you have to lift them slightly to pull out. So far they seem to stay in very well.

    4. The top and bottom drawer can be locked with padlocks. Middle drawer does not have a locking option.

  2. Is it waterproof

    Can you put this in the back of your pickup and have the tools stay dry if it rains.

    1. I wouldn’t call it waterproof, if you throw it a lake it will leak. But it has kept my tools dry during some of FL heavy summer downpours.

    2. The toolbox is not waterproof. It is rather water resistant and the tools inside would not likely get wet depending on the rain.

  4. Can you swap the position of the bottom and middle sections?

    In the photos the bottom drawer is always attached. Can you detach it?

    2. The bottom section of this toolbox storage system can be removed from the wheeled trolley just like the top two sections.

  6. It appears the middle box is screwed to the trolley with a plate at the back,, can that plate be moved to the bottom box, so the top and middle box can be quickly removed??

    1. The support bracket cannot be adjusted, that is built into the trolley handle. All three box sections can be removed from the trolley.
