  2. Does this winch have surge protection?

    1. This winch is operated by remote control with the function of surge protection. It has voltage detection; when the battery voltage is lower than 10.8V, the red and blue LED will flash. Stop using the winch to avoid battery damage and turn on the engine while winching. It also has stall load protection; when the winch pulling force is equal to the maximum rated capacity for more than 1 second, the winch protection will turn on. The red and blue LED will flash to indicate this.

    1. The winch will be secured with bolts. The outside mounting hole patterns are 10"L x 4-1/2"W and 10"L x 2-1/4"W. The inside mounting pattern measures 6-1/2"L x 4-1/2"W. Please view item 54130 for the winch quick-mounting plate.
