  2. What part is 8.5 inch high.

    Does the 8.5 inch height apply to how high the tires are lifted (when seated at the top), or does it apply to the height (above the ground) of the safety stopper at the end?

    1. I just went out and measured mine. The lift is about 6.5 inches. The stopped goes up to 8.5 inches.

    2. The height of this unit at it's highest point is 8.5 inches. The wheel lift height, measured from the ground to the bottom of the tire, is 6.7 inches.
