This Ingersoll Rand ARO Thunder Series 3:1 Air-Operated Oil Pump ensures consistent operation for transferring oil and light lubricants. The pump features a stall-free, ice-free air motor with only 3 working parts and can be serviced in-line. The patented design delivers great flow, minimized pulsation and an extended service life. Other features include a 6 GPM maximum working flow rate, a 1/4in. NPTF air inlet, and a 3/4in.-1/2in. NPTF fluid inlet/outlet. This pump works with various-sized drums, tanks and containers, and includes a 2in. bung adapter.

  1. Whats the lift rate (how deep can you have the pump go down)

    1. The pump is designed to be immersed in oil. It will not have a suction lift like that of a diaphragm pump.

  2. How do you bleed the pump to get it working

    1. Make sure the air supply is connected but turned off. Open the material supply valve to allow oil to flow to the pump. Open the air supply valve to start the pump. Run the pump until oil flows without any air bubbles. To manually bleed the air from the pump, loosen the outlet fitting slightly until oil starts to flow.

  4. Can we use this pump with coolant and antifreeze?

    1. This pump should only be used with oil. This is not suitable to use with antifreeze or coolants.

  5. Does this come with a longer down tube to stick in a barrel (55 gal drum) of oil?

    1. This pump does not come with a suction tube. Item 60399 would be recommended for use with a 55 gallon drum as it does come with a suction tube long enough for this application.
