  2. How many kilowatts does it have

    1. The wood furnace would be rated at 627 watts. It is 120 volt and has an amp rating of 5.45 amps.

  3. does this furnace have forced air output

    1. For forced hot air circulation, the plenum size must not be reduced to less than 100 square inches. It must provide a minimum of 18 inches between the top of your furnace and the main trunk connection. Do not modify the outer shell of the furnace at any time. The plenum attached to the furnace must be constructed of metal. The warm air supply duct system should be constructed of materials with minimum temperature rating of 250 degrees F.

  4. Does the firebox blower continue to run even there is no fire in the box , how does it shut off

    1. When the wall thermostat calls for heat, the draft motor turns on and supplies fresh air into the firebox producing hotter fire, which in turns provides more heat in the heat chamber. When the wall thermostat temperature is met, the draft blower will shut off until the thermostat calls for heat and begins the cycle again.

  6. Very new to wood furnaces here, I see there are 2 heat discharges on the top. Could one on the discharges heat an 800 sq ft open area? I’m trying to figure out a way to heat both levels of my home

    1. The wood furnace would need to be connected to your homes duct system and can be run to the upper and lower level. It is rated at 130,000 BTU. You would need to connect to a thermostat to control the temperature for both levels. We would recommend to have a qualified heating contractor to install the wood furnace.

  7. I have a fireplace and don't have a furnace. Can I vent it out threw my chimney, & what do I need to install it

    1. This furnace should not be connected to a chimney flue serving another appliance or fireplace. Installation instructions can be found in the product manual located on the product webpage.

  8. What’s the temperature range to run this furnace?

    1. This furnace can operate in all temperatures. The included wall thermostat has a range from 40 degrees F to 90 degrees F and will kick the furnace on and off to maintain the desired temperature. The furnace can get up to temperatures ranging from 600 degrees F to 800 degrees F depending on where it is in the burn cycle.

  9. Whren power goes out- is there a way to have this wired to a battery backup to keep blower going?

    1. There would not be a way to wire the furnace to a battery backup. We would recommend a generator for use in a power outage.

  10. Can this be vented through the side wall, or does it need to go through the roof

    1. This furnace should only be connected to a clay-lined masonry chimney, masonry chimney with a properly installed stainless steel 6” liner, or metal all-fuel Class A HT2100 chimney system.
