The right way to supply this heater is with a minimum 100 lb. propane tank, using a two stage regulator. Smaller tanks can produce supply problems, and single stage regulators can produce overpressure conditions, in warmer weather.

If I run this off a 10 lb propane tank will I need a to purchase a regulator (like what a line for a grill, or ventless heater would use) or will it not require one?

A regulator is recommended to ensure that the inlet supply pressure is between 11in. W.C. and 13in. W.C.

Can this be used with a 20 pound propane tank?

I am using this with the 20lb tank. You will need to get the regulator with a long enough hose (3-5feet) and the reducers to got from 1/2"NPT to the standard 3/8" on the regulator hose

Thermostat IS included....or not ?
I have seen two different answers from "NS product experts". According to the manual, this model DOES come with the "optional" thermostat, however your "KEY SPECIFICATIONS" shows NO thermostat included. This causes confusion and would make people buy the un-needed additional thermostat.

The optional thermostat is not included with this item as it is not required for the unit to operate.

It DOES NOT come with a thermostat. But it will work without it - just always full on. If you add a simple on-off switch you can be your own thermostat. Instructions are simple and are in the manual.

thermostat has a wide range of probably from 50-90 degrees the only thing I've noticed is they aren't very accurate as far as turning on and off as it should at set temperatures
