  1. I read the fan is wired with 3 wires. Can I control the speed with a variable 3 speed switch and the light with a separate dimmer switch ?

    1. The Honeywell model #50197 fan comes with a remote-controlled receiver, meaning you cannot use a separate 3-speed switch or wall dimmer unless you acquire a compatible wall control designed specifically for this fan.

  2. How do you open it to change light bulbs?

    1 answer

    1. To remove the glass bowl, turn the bowl counter clockwise. Then remove and replace the light bulb. The size of light bulb needed is an E26. To install the glass bowl, turn the bowl clock wise.
