  1. Looking to purchase two of these pumps to handle a significant amount of water that floods my yard during heavy rain. Question is how loud is this pump while running? 

    1. I just installed this pump in a bog below my large 1.5 acre stock pond and I am usually unable to tell that pump is running due to it being so quiet. No noise issues with this pump.

  2. does it have an automatic float switch? will it pump 200ft. flat into a 4inch pvc discharge?

    1. The water pump does have a float switch. It would not pump water 200ft. It has a maximum total head of 42ft. It is designed for use with a 2in discharge hose.

    1. The pump can be used to drain a pool with leaves. You would want to monitor it so it does not clog or burnout.

  4. How much does this weight.  What can you plug into for power.  Can I use it in a manhole running off a 1200 watt generator

    1. The dry weight of the pump is 41 pounds. The starting amperage is 47 amps. The running amps is 11.1 amps. The pump will not run off a 1200 watt generator.

  9. Looking to replace a gas Trash/Water Model D530 pump with a electric alternative with approx.200' of 2" PVC Pipe going up a hill approximately 10' high. For 1 Acre Seasonal wetland/Cattail area.. Will this work? can I screw on a 2" strainer on bottom?

    1. This submersible trash pump will not work to carry water 200 feet. It can carry water a maximum of 42 feet. Northern Tool does not carry an electric submersible pump to pump water 200 feet.
