    1. A weight rating is unavailable for this product . It is a strong magnet designed to allow for quick and easy grounding on metal for welding .

  2. How does it ground in relationship to the "primary" ground...what is needed to make the second ground connection???

    1. The clamp is magnetic. You can remove the regular ground clamp from the lead and replace it with the magnetic clamp. It will accept 1/2" standard stud or cable lugs. The clamp is the primary ground. Once that is done the unit magnetized to the work piece (rather than clamped) to complete the circuit during welding. There is no relationship to a “primary” ground because a “secondary” ground does not exist in the circuit.
