    1. Both 240V outlets can be used at the same time as long as the load does not exceed 50 amps per outlet and a total of 9,500 running watts.

  2. How long can the leads be?

    1. The recommended cables for this unit are our item #628510 and #628511. The #628510 set has a 20' electrode cable with holder and 15' work cable with clamp. Item #628511 has 50' cables for both the electrode and holder and work cable with clamp.

  3. Hobart 260 Arc Can you run this at DC-? Can you use this for weld gouging? Is there anything else different from this model to the 225?

    Is there anything else different for the 225 Amp model other then the extra 35 amps?

    1. This unit has a DC output for stick welding, but has an AC power input.

      It has not been tested for weld gouging so it is not recommended for use in that application.

      The difference between this unit and the 225 amp model, item 42542, is that this unit has a 35 amp greater output and a digital fuel gauge in the display.
