    1. These brazing rods can be used with aluminum and magnesium. You will want to check with the manufacturer of the evaporator coils for compatibility.

    1. This Hobart brazing rod is recommended for applications of 3/16" thick or less on clean aluminum.

    I see it says "self-fluxing", but would it hurt to use flux with this type of brazing rod? How well does it work with out additional flux?

    1. With proper surface preparation, additional flux is optional but would not be required. If additional flux is needed, it will need to be a proper flux designed specifically for aluminum use.

  7. Will this work to braise weld any aluminum?

    I would like to weld a square tub out of .032 thick 3003 Aluminum Sheet. is this the right type of rod to use?

    1. The Hobart Brazing Rod 1/8" diameter is usable to braise weld any aluminum with a thickness of .032.
