The garden hose connection only keeps the reservoir filled and does not cool the air by itself. For cooling, the pump must circulate water from the reservoir through the cooling pads. If the unit cools when using the tank but not when relying on the hose connection, check that the float valve is allowing the reservoir to fill to the proper level, verify adequate water supply, and ensure the pump is operating. An improperly adjusted or faulty float valve may need adjustment or replacement. For troubleshooting information, please refer to the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer directly.

The portable cooler would include a direct connection to a hose feature.

The decibel rating on the cooler is 62.5 decibels at 10 feet on high speed.

If you hear squeaking, it would be the blower bearings. They should be lubricated. The motor would be sealed and could not be oiled.

The evaporative coolers are not recommend to be used indoors in a closed area.

Per the manufacturer, as long as the ice is crushed it can be added to the water tank on this unit. The ice needs to be melted prior to getting to the pump otherwise it can cause damage.

This evaporative air cooler is designed to run 2-4 hours on a full tank of water. The outside temperature and humidity will affect the amount of evaporation and water usage. Higher temperatures with low humidity will have a higher water consumption and lower temperatures with higher humidity will have a lower water consumption.

This will cool up to 1,600 square feet.
