Product Summary

The Hardin 3/4in. V20 full bullnose shaping and polishing profile package is designed to create a 3/4in. full bullnose decorative edge on tile, granite, concrete countertops, and other natural or engineered stone surfaces that are 3/4in. thick. This kit combines the main tools needed for edge shaping and polishing, including a Hardin 4in. variable speed wet polisher, a 3/4in. full bullnose diamond profile wheel, a rubber backer pad, and a complete 4in. premium diamond polishing pad set. The polishing set includes 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, and 3000 grit pads, plus a 10,000 grit final buff pad for finishing the edge after shaping. The included V20 vacuum brazed diamond profile wheel is designed to produce a 3/4in. full bullnose, or half-circle edge, on compatible stone and concrete surfaces. The wheel threads directly onto the polisher for a simple setup. A nylon guide on the top of the bit rides along the surface of the stone, while the lower bearing controls the depth of cut to help keep the profile consistent. Because the wheel removes material only within the controlled working area, it helps reduce the chance of cutting too deep or damaging the workpiece. This makes the package useful for installers, fabricators, and countertop shops that need a controlled edge profiling solution without setting up a larger stationary machine. To use the system, thread the profile wheel onto the grinder, turn on the water feed, start the tool, and place the top guide bearing onto the top edge of the material. Apply steady pressure into the edge of the working surface and move the bit forward and back until the bullnose shape is fully formed. The internal water feed helps cool the bit during use and supports a longer grinding distance. After the edge is shaped, attach the included hook and loop backing pad and begin polishing. Start with the appropriate grit for the surface condition, then continue through each polishing pad until the desired finish is achieved. The 50 grit pad is included but is very aggressive and should be used with caution. Product note: Most standard granite slabs are 3/4in. thick. This kit is intended to grind and polish a full bullnose edge on a standard 3/4in. slab. If a laminated edge is used to create the appearance of a thicker slab, the edge thickness may increase to 1-1/2in., and a 1-1/2in. full bullnose kit would be more appropriate.
