Ideal for farm, construction and industrial use. Water-blocking fuel filter features a filter media that absorbs and removes all water from fuel. Can be used with gasoline, diesel, gasohol and other fuels. Element contains a water-absorbing polymer which absorbs and traps water as it passes through the filter element.   1. Is mounting bracket included?

    Is mounting bracket included or available for purchase?

    1. What you see is what you get, filter base, housing, element and drain screw. These are designed to be mounted with rigid pipe and do not have holes drilled for brackets.

  2. can fuel flow in either direction on this filter

    1. not recommended that would defeat the water and sentiment viewing in the bottom of the bowl to know when you have a problem with the fuel and when to change to filter or drain the bowl

    2. The Goldenrod filter is a one way filter and is clearly marked on the cap with an inlet and an outlet port and must be installed as marked to be effective.

  3. Does this filter also remove sediment and other foriegn materials

    1. i use this filter for larger particles, such as small rust scale, sand and other foreign matter. Works as a great pre filter.

    1. Yes, that is what I use it on to fill my tractor with fuel.

  5. Is this compatible with an 18 gpm pump?

    This is a 5 gpm filter. Will a 18 gpm pump reduce efficiency on the filter? Will the filter reduce efficiency on the pump?

    1. The Goldenrod Water-Block Fuel Filter would be able to used with an 18 GPM application with no adverse effects to pump or filter.

  6. Even though the filter only filters in the discharge direction, will fuel flow in the opposite direction, I run my pump in reverse to clear hose.

  7. does this filter work for 15 gpm fuel transfer pump with automatic nozzle?

  8. When connecting this to a fuel pump and delivery system, are there special finish couplings or elbows necessary?

    Do I need fancy hardware to connect this to a fuel transfer and delivery system or can I just use regular 3/4" couplings and elbows? Do I have to tape the ends of the couplings to prevent leaks or is it a metal to metal connection?

    1. Standard 3/4" coupling will work to connect the filter. It is suggested that you use tape on the ends to prevent leakage.
