  1. What power is required? I know it has battery backup. So it must have a battery charger requiring minimum 120VAC requirement. Can I operate two of these units on a 15amp circuit in a residential installation?

    1. The garage door opener will require a 115 volt power outlet with in 5 feet from the bottom of the opener. If a longer distance is needed, a low voltage power kit model 40984R.S will need to be purchased through the manufacturer separately.

  2. What purpose do the cable keepers serve?

    1. The cable keepers are needed to insure that the cables are adjusted and safe to open and close the garage door. The cable keepers are required to be used per the manufacturer. Non use of the cable keepers will void the manufacturer warranty.

  3. Can this unit be used to open a 10x10 roll up door?

    1. The garage door opener will not work with a 10 x 10 roll up door.

  4. what is the pull rope hook to?

    1 answer

    1. The red pull rope is an emergency release. You will pull this to disconnect the opener to rotate the output shaft for ease of coupler installation. Pull down to toggle door engagement. Also, pull the emergency release cable and manually operate door to inspect for binding. Pull cable until it clicks and locks into place. Pull again to release and lock opener to door.
