This kit is designed for the Genie exposed belt garage door openers. This kit comes with everything needed to convert your standard 7ft. Genie garage door opener to fully lift your 8ft. high garage door. Kit contents; new longer garage door opener belt and snap together rail extension.

  1. Can I use the belt from the extension kit for my regular 7 ft garage door? Of course, I will have to trim it. Is the belt essentially the same quality as the one for the 7 ft door?

    1. It would not be recommended to modify the belt, doing so may void the warranty.
