    1. The transfer switch has no set length of cord. The consumer can decide the correct length needed from generator to switch.

    1. Correct, the circuits that are connected to this unit can be selected by the user as long as the capacity is not overloaded. This transfer switch is rated for 60 amps.

    Isn't this switch designed to simply be used between the generator input and the house main service entrance panel?

    1. The manual transfer switch is only designed to handle a single circuit in the house. The switch is not designed to handle a load for an entire house.

    I need one 20 amp 240 volt circuit for my pump. is there room for two more 120 volt circuits?

    1. This transfer switch is only capable of handling one circuit. There is no room for two more 120 volt circuits on this product.

  5. What type of breakers are used in this switch?

    Would it be possible to change them to a lower amperage?
    I only need 15 amps. Thanks.

    1. The breakers used in this switch are Branch breakers. Branch breakers can be replaced with Siemens 1-inch type QP or type QT dual or quad breakers. Interchangeable type 1-inch breakers by Square D (type HO), Cutler Hammer (type BR) and the 1-inch series from GE will also fit. Most breakers are available through local retailers. We recommend checking with a local electrician to make sure any changes that you make meet local codes and ordinances.
