  1. Can this be operated as a manual transfer switch, if used in conjunction with a portable generator that does not have auto start capability? If not, is there a comparable manual unit, either 100 or 150 amp, with similar breaker space?

    1. The transfer switch will not work with a portable generator application. It is recommended to contact a certified electrician for the correct manual switch and wiring needed for your application.

  2. Can I use this switch with a solar inverter setup. Solar being my main power and utility being my backup ? Solar inverter would provide AC to switch. How does the switch sense when to change power source ? Is there a manual override ?

    1. The transfer switch will not work with a solar inverter application. The switch senses the power change from the N1 and N2 wiring that comes in from the electrical meter. There is not a manual shut down on the switch.

  3. can a rtg16eza3 be used with a 24kw generac generator or do ineed to use the 200 rxsw200a3 please advice

    1. This would work with the 24kw Generac standby generator. The amp rating of the transfer switch should match the amp rating of utility power panel.

  5. are the breakers for this transfer switch included? if not what brand breaker does it accept? square d, GE, etc

    1. This does not include breakers. This switch is listed for use with Siemens, Eaton, or Square D one inch breakers.

  6. Does this have an auto engine start for the generator?

    1. This is an automatic transfer switch. The engine of the generator will crank and start when the utility source power is turned OFF or if there is an outage. After the engine starts, the transfer switch will connect the load circuits to the standby generator.

  7. Are the Grounded Conductor Terminal busses on the left and right side of the Transfer Switch connected?
