Onboard COsense® technology offers hazardous carbon monoxide protection, and the low-oil feature automatically shuts down the generator to prevent unit damage.   1. Can anyone tell me what type oil to use in my GP 8000 E generator?

    1 answer

    1. It is recommended to use a petroleum based oil (supplied) for the engine break in prior to using a synthetic oil. The weight of oil used is determined by the outside temperature. Recommended oil types will be an SAE30, 10W30 or synthetic 5W30 oil.

  2. Is this convertible to ng? If so, does the conversion kit come with it?

    1. The generator is gasoline only. There is not a conversion kit available for natural gas.
