    1. The Friedrich Dehumidifer will work in this type of area as long as there is at least 8" of clearance around the unit. This unit can be used in even a larger area than 1600 sq. ft.

  5. Questions about drain.

    Where is the drain located? Do I have to use the pump to drain out side or can I use gravity flow? What is capacity of attached bucket?

    1. There is a pump on the back of the unit with a built in adapter. There is also an included flexible clear hose. When that is connected properly the pump will turn on. There is also a gravity plug on the back of the unit. The bucket has a capacity of 70 pints in 24 hours. There is a float in the bucket and it will shut off when it hits that water level.
