    1. The total harmonic distortion (THD) of this generator is less than 5%. It has a high-quality, 100% copper-wound head and is safe to use with sensitive equipment such as computers.

    2. Absolutely. THD is Total Harmonic Distortion. It produces very clean, stable voltage, no fluctuations at all, even when an air conditioning unit comes on.

  6. Drain the tank & float bowl??

    I never leave fuel in power equipment. Can the tank and float bowl be readily drained?

    1. Turn off fuel supply under the Tank, let engine run till it stalls. You can disconnect the fuel hose at the filter and drain the Tank that way if you like.. is it "readily"? no not really and you need to be safe about it for obvious reasons. I've left fuel conditioner treated non-ethanol fuel in our Generator for 2 years without troubles utilizing the run-till-stall method.

    2. The tank can be drained by disconnecting the hose and attaching a longer hose (not included) to transfer it to another tank or receptacle. We recommend draining most of the fuel from the tank and then adding a fuel stabilizer (a proportionate amount to the remaining fuel) before starting the generator and running it until it is out of gas. This will prepare it for storage. Draining the float bowl is a more involved process, but it can be done.

  8. Can this be used with an interlock kit

    Will this generator work with a home interlock kit wired into the panel?

    1. Using an interlock kit is potentially dangerous and may not be approved for use in your state or county. We recommend using transfer switches with our generators. Please see items 100005 and 49950.

  10. Does this unit have recoil start as backup?

    1. No recoil start. Electric start only. My thoughts are the electric starter will be reliable. This engine is 630 cc, so anybody smaller than Hulk Hogan probably couldn't pull start it anyway. If the battery dies, the terminals are accessible and large enough to jump start it with cables.

      I keep mine on a battery maintainer charger all the time.
