    2. Any charged 12 volt battery in or out of a vehicle can jump start this generator. Jumper cables need to be removed as soon as the generator starts.

  2. Can the 120/250v 50 amp outlet and the 120/240v 30 amp outlet be used simultaneously?

    1. yes, you can use every port simultaneously UP TO the the highest load rating for the generator

    2. You can use both the 30 amp and 50 amp outlets at the same time as long as you are not drawing more than the generators capacity.

    1. Mine are not. I have an older model, but I would not suspect they are.

      I see no way to test or reset them on the new unit.

    2. This NorthStar Generator does not have ground fault protected outlets, we recommend using a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected extension cord.

  7. When using the four(4) 120v 20amp outlets, which outlets are on which hot leg of the power circuits? For the sake of keeping the load as balanced as possible, is it 'X' on the left & 'Y' on the right? or perhaps every other one? Thanks!

    1. On the generator panel the four 120 volt 20 amps outlets on the left are 1 leg and the 4 outlets on the right are 1 leg.

    When measuring voltage with a multimeter from ground to neutral is there any voltage.

    1. When measuring voltage from ground to neutral, you would have some resistance but should not have any voltage.
