The Fodder King 6-24 Hydroponic System is an economical tray system designed to quickly grow your own pesticide-free feedstock with minimal water. System includes a pump and timer to operate at desired increments. Can be operated as a recirculating system, or drain-to-waste. Complete system includes: 24 PVC channels, 400 GPH pump and filter, 5-gal. bucket and strainer, poly punch, plumbing, and PVC primer, cement and cleaner (reservoir not included).

  1. How do you attach the lights and fans to this rack system?

    1. Most lights and fans will come with some sort of mounting kit that can be utilized for the FK624 system. If those kits to do not work with the frame of the 6-24 a suggestion could be to use zip ties, but they must be strong enough to hold the weight of the lights/fans.

  2. Can lighting be installed in here? is there option to add lighting to the order

    1. It may be possible to add lighting, however making modifications to this could void the warranty. A lighting kit for this unit is not available through Northern Tool.

  3. Does this system comes with sprinklers or how watering works?

    1. This system does not come with sprinklers. It includes a pump and timer to operate at desired increments. It can operate as a recirculating system or drain-to-waste system.

  4. What is the recommended amount of seed per 6 ft. channel? And when figuring the 105 lb of fodder a day, is that like 3.5 channels worth?

    1. Start with 4 - 4.5 lbs. of dry seed per 6 ft. channel. For every 1 lbs. of dry fodder grain, it can yield up to 6-8 lbs. of harvestable fodder. The harvest is approximately 3 lbs. per foot, so each channel will produce around 18 lbs. For 105 lbs. of fodder, that is around 5.8 channels.

  5. I need 24 trays for my system. Can I buy just the trays?

    1. Northern Tool does not currently offer any parts for this hydroponic system.
