This Flo N' Go Maxflo gravity fed siphon pump with 60in.L hose works with most plastic fuel cans as it pumps gas in any direction for easy, clean fill-ups. It features siphon control that allows auto shutoff and restarts. Provides a 2 GPM flow rate when used in siphon mode. Fits on Scepter gas cans only, including Item# 26681 (sold separately). EPA approved. This item is not for sale in the state of California. Customers are responsible for checking local codes and regulations prior to purchase.

  1. How do you get the pump started?

    1. You have to pump the handle a few times till the fuel starts to flow then release when done.

    2. Just start pumping the lever on the nozzle. After about 4 or 5 pumps the gas starts to flow. Gas can does have to be higher than the item you are going to fill.

    3. It has a built in primer into the handle.

      Simply squeeze the handle/trigger until gas flows on it's own.

      The end/nozzel must be lower for gravity flow to work.

    4. In order for the gas can/pump to operate in siphon mode, it must be higher than your receiving tank. To start the flow, press the trigger/handle a couple of times. Once the flow has started, hold the trigger/handle until you reach your desired fuel level. Release the trigger/handle and the flow will stop.

      If the gas can/pump is NOT higher than your receiving tank, you will have to continually press the trigger/handle until the desired fuel level has been reached.

  2. would this be acceptable to sipon the tank of a car that had been idle for a number of years to refill the tank with fresh gas?

    1. Yes if you attach a hose long enough to reach the bottom of the fuel tank. You must also be able to bypass the anti siphon feature of most cars.

    2. Yes, this will pump gas in any direction. You can siphon the old gas out and then pump fresh gas back in.

  3. can this be used on a pool cover?

    the water is murky with small vegetation particles
    which clog a regular pump...if not what would you recommend?

    1. NO, use an electric WATER pump

    2. This is not going to be the best way to remove the standing water and solids on your pool cover.

      Although it is not as cost effective, I would recommend using a semi trash pump that we carry because they are capable of pumping solids such as small vegetation particles.

    My gas cans don't have a vent. Does this siphon provide for venting?

    1. This is a siphon and/or pump unit and would not require venting because the hole clearance would provide enough air for the pump or siphon mode to work.
