Product Summary

The Flame King 60lb steel LP/propane cylinder is a larger capacity cylinder perfect for moderate industrial, commercial and consumer uses, including heating, cooking, generator usage, and so much more. The tank is pre-purged vacuum ready for filling of propane avoiding you the usual cost and headache of purging your new tank. It has a POL valve assembly. It is built from high grade welded steel and powder coated for rust prevention. For your safety, our tanks are x-ray and hydrostatic tested. You can be sure to transport safely both in the US and CA as they are DOT and Transport Canada certified.

  1. Will this work for a portable generator? How much does a full tank weigh? can it be filled and transported laying down?

    1. The cylinder could be used with a propane portable generator. The empty weight is 49 pounds, it would weigh approximately 97 pounds when full. It cannot be transported laying down.
