This First Alert 2.13 cu. ft. waterproof/fireproof digital safe is UL classified for 1 hour to withstand an external temperature of 1700°F while maintaining an internal temperature of less than 350°F. The safe has been tested by an independent testing lab and verified to protect electronic media including memory sticks, CDs, DVDs and external hard drives. Will also protect documents, electronics and other valuables. Concealed hinges are designed to resist prying. Waterproof even when fully submerged.

  1. How to relock safe after replacing batteries?

    My batteries went dead in my 2096DF. I opened with the key and replaced batteries. The pad lights are lite but it does not take the code and I cannot move the handle in any direction.

    I don't have my manual. How do I relock? Can I down load a manual?

    1. There will be a small red button on the inside of the door hinge. You would push that button to reset your code after changing the batteries.

  2. Can this safe be bolted down?

    1. This safe cannot be bolted down since it would penetrate the barrier, causing it to no longer be fireproof.
