The ETQ digital inverter generator meets all your high tech needs, from powering computers, laptops, video game systems, phones and TVs to charging batteries for each. With less than 3% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and clean power, the IN2500i is ideal for sensitive electronics. The 125.5cc 4-stroke OHC engine has a low oil indicator, a throttle control for fuel savings and an engine output control. The engine idle feature allows the engine to idle down when no power is demanded.

  1. Where is this ETQ Digital Inverter gen made? Also what does Digital Inverter mean and is it a steady 120v output good for sensitive electronics/

    1. Generator ran a laptop fine even with a microwave starting and a coffee maker cycling at different times. Of course there is a significant dip in available power when starting which wouldn't affect a laptop with its internal battery.

    2. This is a import from China. Digital Inverter is going to give you clean, stable power from a smaller, lighter package. Clean power is electrical current that has a stable sine wave or signal. Inverters pass raw voltage through a special microprocessor and let you safely run computers and power sensitive equipment out in the field.

  2. How long will this generator run on a full tank of gas?

    1. Generator consistantly ran a 350 Watt freezer for 9 hours on a tank of gas.

    2. The generator has 1.5 gallon tank and at full load it will run approximately 4 hours. At 1/2 load it will run 5 1/2 hours.

  3. can you siamese connect this unit w/Honda2000

    2. You would not be able to connect this brand generator to a Honda generator. You would need to connect 2 Honda generators #16672 with the parallel kit #100174 to connect them.
      Or, you could get one of 16672 and one of
      100328 companion 2000 watt generator and then the connection cable item #100175 to connect the 2 of those.

  4. Small a/c unit

    I have a small travel trailer, and it has a 11,500 BTU air conditioner. Will this generator run the a/c?

    1. Generator ran my same sized A/C, microwave and coffee maker (one at a time) for a 3 month trip last year. Quite a voltage sag when starting, but starts them fine.

    2. I would estimate that the 11,500 BTU ac unit that you mention would require approximately 2500 surge watts and 1500 running watts. This generator will supply that amount of power, however, because it is so close to the capacity you should check to see what the exact requirements of the air conditioner are before ordering. There should be a name plate somewhere on the unit that will list the voltage requirement and amp draw. Volts x Amps = Watts.

      Also keep in mind that while this generator may be able run the air conditioner there will not be power left over to run other items.

    power up an air conditioner in a rv or micro wave

    1. Generator did my camper fine as long as only one at a time.

    2. This inverter generator will power up any microwave, but the rv air conditioner will depend on the amount of watts that it pulls. Your typical 13,500 btu rv ac units starts at 2800 watts and once running will pull 1500 watts, which would be too large for this generator.

  6. Whats is the difference between an inverter generator and a regular generator

    1. -Conventional generators consist of heavy copper coils, which generate a raw form of electricity.
      The engine must maintain a constant speed of 3,600 rotations per minute to produce AC power. In other words, it must run at full speed, regardless of the load needed, consuming more fuel and generating more noise. The electricity produced isn't as clean as utility power. Therefore, standard generators are NOT recommended to power sensitive electronics like computers.

      -Inverter generators utilize a different type of alternator to generate very clean AC power. The inverter technology reduces the generator's size and weight. But more importantly, the engine can run at varying speeds, significantly reducing the noise levels and fuel consumption.

  7. Capacity to Drive a Motor Load

    The electrical ratings on this unit are based upon a power factor of 1.0.

    Will this unit drive the 750/1500 lb hoist (Northern Tool Item #142260) under full load?

    1. The hoist #142260 draws 12 amps at 120 volts would require 1440 watts to run it. This generator rated at 2200 running watts would be able to handle the winch.

  8. Sine Wave Inverter??

    There is only one of these inverter generators that specify a true sine wave output, and it is not this one (The 3500 watt model I believe). Does this generator have a true sine wave output (digital no less) or not? Also, is the OHC (Overhead Cam) correct or is that a typo and should be OHV (Overhead Valve, Pushrod engine)?

    1. This ETQ digital inverter is a true sine wave inverter with plus or minus 3 percent THD (total harmonic distortion), allowing you to power sensitive electronics.

      The OHC (overhead cam) engine specification is in fact correct, we contacted ETQ directly to confirm.
