  1. Can I use an impact gun w/socket instead of a wrench or ratchet?

    1. No. Never use an impact on any puller, pusher, jack, etc. The hammering will damage the threads. I slow, steady pressure is always better. That is why better pullers/etc. always have fine threads instead of coarse threads.

    2. I STARTED TO USE AN IMPACT BUT QUICKLY REALIZED I COULDN'T LET OFF TRIGGER FAST ENOUGH TO NOT BOTTOM OUT OR MAX OUT THE SCREW. WOULD RECOMEND JUST USING A AIR RATCHET TO AVOID ANY DAMAGE.

    3. No. An impact gun would apply too much torque too fast and would be hard to stop or control safely. Works very well with a ratchet and socket and really takes no time at all. Easy to control and you can stop easily if it looks like damage to the tire or rim is possible, allowing you the chance to correct any problems.

    4. This tools is intended only to be used with hand tools

    5. The torque from an impact gun will damage the ESCO Bead Breaker. This can only be used with a ratchet wrench.

    1. This unit is not recommended for use on split rims. Please see My Product Recommendations below for one that would work.
