    Does it come with a 2” receiver bar to to connect to hitch?

    1. This capstan winch includes a 2" receiver bar that connects the mounting box assembly to your vehicle's 2" receiver. It can then be secured to the 2" receiver with a bolt and nut (both are included) or a 5/8" hitch pin (not included).

    Can this winch be mounted to rotate horizontally rather than vertically? are there any accessory mounts available to attach to a pole or tree?

    1. The Tugger capstan winch can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position to accommodate an optimal working plain. There are no accessories to mount to a pole or tree.

  3. What is the Duty Cycle?

    1. There is no set duty cycle on this winch. It should be able to run 7-8 minutes or until it gets hot, whichever comes first. Then let it cool down. It could be less with heavier loads.

  5. I want to use this to lower a load down a 50-foot ramp. I noted the description only mentions "pulling" a load. Can a capstan winch "repel" a load?

    1. The winch can be used to lower a load down a ramp. You just have to make sure the load does not exceed the weight capacity of the winch. You must be sure to have the rope secured around the winch several times and then lower the load slowly.
