The Endurance Marine Stainless Steel 12 Volt DC Powered Drum Winch is a very popular style of anchor winch and now it is even more affordable for all boaters. This anchor winch is compact, with power out/power in, suitable for both anchoring in fresh water and offshore fishing. Ideal for small or narrow anchor wells with the option to alter the angle of the motor and gearbox to the drum. The drum and shaft of the winch are made from marine grade quality stainless steel. The compact, fully sealed gearbox is driven by a vertically mounted, permanent magnet, heavy-duty motor. This winch comes with a dual direction solenoid with up/down switch and is easy to install and to control by one person. This type of drum winch has many other applications in the automotive, industrial, material handling and mining markets.

  1. Is the motor stainless also?

    1. The motor is made from powder coated steel. The motor does need to be steel as it has a magnetic field. The motor does have a stainless steel shroud that covers the motor.

    1. The drum capacity is 130 meters of 8mm nylon plus 8 meters of 6/8mm short link chain.

  3. when dropping the anchor ...does it free fall? or slowly ctank in reverse? I want it to drop fast ..so I don't drift off the spot in 100ft of water..

    1. The drum winch would have a 20mm (0.79") line speed per minute.
