  1. Will this machine be sufficient to clean a homes mainline?

    1. This machine will probably be all you would need for residential use. If tree roots are an issue then this machine would not be heavy enough to cut through. Roots are usually not an issue on less the home was built prior to 1950.

  4. what pushes the cable through the drain line?

    Is it the air operated foot switch? My kitchen sink clogs up every 18 months and I'm tired of paying $150 to the plumber evry time it clogs. He clears it from the roof by running a snake through the stack - about 40 feet.

    1. The air operated foot switch just turns the motor on. You would hand feed the line through.
