  1. Can you use brush blades with this trimmer?

    1. The blade kit for the trimmer is model number ABB1203-1. The kit will include the 3 tooth blade, new guard, safety barrier bar, flange and nut. To order, please contact the manufacturer for part pricing and availability.

  2. Does the trimmer load the string

    1. As the line becomes frayed or worn, additional line can be released by lightly tapping the trimmer head on the ground while operating the trimmer. For best results, tap the trimmer head on bare ground or hard soil.

    1. We do not offer this string trimmer in a package with the battery. See our item #112481 for a 5.0 Ah battery or #114122 for a 7.5 Ah battery.

  4. I've used there other weed trimmers and they use plastic gears in the heads that melt if you use them for longer than 1 hours theses heads don't look no different so does it have the same cheap internals.

    1. This model EGO trimmer does not have plastic gears. It would feature more more durable components and would have metal gears. It is built with a robust gearbox and a steel drive shaft.

  5. Does it come with power load or line in?

    1. This it the tool only, it does not include the battery or the trimmer line. It would use a 56 volt battery and 0.095" nylon trimmer line is recommended. See our item #112481 for a 56 volt 5.0 Ah battery.

    1. The string can get jammed and fail to feed out. This can happen due to various reasons, the string gets caught or is loose on the spool, debris or worn parts in the head mechanism or the type of line used.
