  1. Can the ego be used safely in wet conditions? I have a tree that has fallen into a river near me. Would the unit be damaged if water happened to get inside? Gary

    1. The chainsaw can be used in light rain or damp conditions, allowing for splashing and light moisture. It should not be used in heavy rain, submersion or extremely wet situations.

  2. Can the saw be used in the rain? What would happen if the blade went into standing water while running or the saw was partially submerged?

    1. This chainsaw has an IPX4 weather-resistance rating. It can be used safely in light rain or splashing water. It should not be used in heavy rain or wet conditions where it would be submerged , as it can damage the electrical components and void the warranty.

  3. What does the AUTO SAFETY BRAKE WITH LED INDICATOR do?

    1. The function of the safety brake will help to prevent injuries. In the case of a kickback, the brake will instantly halt the chain's rotation. It prevents accidental startup. It will also protect you in case you were to fall.
