    1. This ECHO, Straight Shaft String Trimmer is a 50:1 fuel/oil mixture. To determine the filter size for your specific unit, it would be determined by the serial number.

  8. How to put line on the head

    1. To remove the line head, press the top locking tabs on both sides of the head and release cover from knob. Remove the cover from the knob. Cut one piece of line to the recommended 20 foot length. Align arrows on top knob with openings on the eyelets. Insert one end of the trimmer line into an eyelet and push line equal distance through the trimmer head. Hold the trimmer head while turning the knob clockwise to wind the line onto the spool until 13 CM (5 in) of each line remains exposed. The trimmer head is now fully loaded and ready for operation. The instructions can be found in the manual that is included with the trimmer.

    1. Yes, the SRM-225 can be used with a metal blade. In order to add a metal blade, the Blade Conversion Kit would be needed, Part #9994420422. This kit includes the blade and adapters to install the metal blade.
