  1. Can i use this for through the roof instalation?

    1. Yes, there are kits for through ceiling, through the roof you would just need the flashing and storm collar and 2" of clearance.

    2. For future readers. This pipe is perfect for a DIY through the roof installation because it is triple wall the pipe is very forgiving on space to combustables. Get the Basic install kit from Duraplus here and you get everything you need for a straight through the roof installl.

      Check your stove manual for correct length of pipe total to get the proper draft. Mine Required 15 feet minimum.

    2. The exterior diameter pipe is exactly 10"... It click locks together so make sure any other pipes are duravent also.

  5. Is This pipe compatible with all duravent duraplus chimney support boxes?

    I have a duravent duraplus chimney support box model number 9048AN.

    1. Yes. I have the Duraplus chimney support box and this snaps right together. The support box actually has a small length of this triple wall pipe on its backside that allows you to twist lock the chimney pipe right in.

  6. does the dura vent duraplus come in longer sections than 3 foot? and will they connect to the through the ceiling kit?

    1. This particular product is not available in longer sections than 3 Feet. The lower quality double wall product does come longer. However when you click lock these pieces together it feels like a single solid unit. No indication of any play or weakness at the seams.

  7. how do i strap these to the outside wall of a home if i use the thru the wall kit as well?

    1. 6'' DuraPlus Adjustable Wall Strap - 6DPWS or AWS, the aws is adjustable wall strap 2-6" fromt he wall the ws is just 2" fixed distance. I used the AWS and glad I did, I needed the full extension. They bolt around the pipe then screw into the wall. I used short deck screws to attach to the wall.

  8. Suitable for Oil Heat or Coal

    Will install chimney thru 10" concrete wall, underground, then up outside of building jet. Will this work underground?
    Is chimney suitable for Oil heat, or coal/wood?

    1. It might work underground but you have to check local codes. most likely it won't be allowed.

    2. This product is suitable for wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, stoves, ranges, water heaters, or other appliances fueled by wood, oil, coal or gas. It is possible to install this chimney pipe underground, with the use of a wall thimble (item number MS9043N available by phone only). Please note that routing a wall thimble through a wall that is 8..5-13" thick will require a field fabricated extension using two 9" sections of DuraPlus chimney pipe (item # MS9019 available by phone only) .

  10. Can a chimney chase be constructed around this pipe? 2” clearance? Don’t like the look of pipe sticking out of roof.
