  1. Is the intake tube flexible that will fit and work in a variety of can sizes?

    1. The suction/intake tube is made of stiff, transparent plastic and is designed to drop straight to the bottom of deep containers; it is not rigid. It features 3 universal adapters to fit most standard and VP Racing gas cans.

  2. Will the 1.2" nozzle fit through the narrow opening on an automobile gas filler opening?

    1. The nozzle fits traditional threaded or plugged automobile filler necks. It may work with capless fuel systems as well, depending on the design.

  3. Can I leave the pick up tube/pump in fuel when not in use

    1. The pump is made primarily of plastic components that can degrade, warp, or weaken after prolonged, continuous submersion in harsh chemicals such as gasoline or diesel fuel. For this reason, it is not recommended to leave the suction tube submerged in the fuel when it is not in use.

  4. I'm looking for a pump that will pull fuel from a gas tank (i.e. a lawnmower) and pump it into a fuel can. For my own clarification, is that how this pump works or is it for filling a tank from the fuel can?

    1. The model WAYPUMP20 is designed to transfer fuel from a gas can to a vehicle. It is not able to draw fuel from a vehicle to a gas can.

    1. The pump will use (4) standard AA batteries. You will replace the batteries as needed. This will pump approximately 100 gallons before the batteries will need to be replaced.
