  2. Can this saw use abrasive blades if the Carbride tipped blade is not immediately available?

    Do you sell the equipment for sharpening carbride tipped blades?

    1. not recommended it turn @ a lower RPM . And if slips on arbor it could cause damage to arbor.

    2. The RPM is 1/4 of what you need for an abrasive saw. Abrasive saws need high surface feet per minute. With this saw's low RPM you would destroy an abrasive saw blade.

    3. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of any other blade than the carbide tipped blades with this saw.
      We do not offer a sharpener for saw blades.

  3. Is the blade rigid enough to give you a straight cut without flexing?

    Abrasive chop saw blades have a tendency to flex in the last 25% of the cut causing a cut that needs to be cleaned up to be square and true. This saw uses a totally different system. So I was asking current owners if they have this issue with the blade flexing?

    1. Yes just ensure that the material is securely clamped. It comes with a vertical clamp as well as the screw type fence clamp.

  4. Does the blade stop when disengaged like my miter saw?

    I am wondering if this saw is equipped with an electric brake. My abrasive chop saw just keeps spinning and spinning even after the trigger is disengaged. I would like to buy a metal cutting saw with an electric brake. thanks

    1. no but it does stop a lot faster probably due to lower RPM and no need to keep trigger puled after last of cut.

  9. Will this machine cut billet T6-6061 & 7075 Aluminum without clogging the blade?

    1. The blade will cut non ferrous metals such as aluminum. To avoid clogging the gullets you can use a blade lubricant stick.
