    Can this cut 4" diameter round tube stock? What is the vice jaw capacity?

    2. This saw will cut up to 5" of round tube stock. The capacity from the front of the vice to the back of the fence is 9 1/8".

  2. Can I use a carbide tooth blade with this saw?

    1. I wouldn't recommend it. It's going to be hard on this little motor for that heavy blade to get up to and stay at speed.

    2. The DeWalt Chop Saw can not be used with toothed blades. The saw is recommended to be used with reinforced wheels that are rated at 4500 RPM or higher.

  3. Is this an A/C D/C chop saw?

    Will it work with a generator (welder) and run efficiently or is it just supposed to be plugged in to A/C like a shop or home electricity?

    1. Yes, I have an 8k Gen welder and use the chop saw with it all the time with no issues.

    2. You could use this with a generator that produces at leat 5400 watts or plug into a standard 120 volt household circuit.

    1. It is not recommended to cut wood or plastic with the saw.

  5. Does the head lay over to cut a 45 degree angle

    1. When cutting at an angle, it is best clamped and cut with both legs resting against the base. The angle adjustment indicator is part of the fence clamping system. Align the desired angle indicator line with the edge of the slot in the base. The protective cover on the blade will lay over on each cut.

  6. would cutting brick with this chop saw void the warranty in the eyes of Dewalt because of the excessive fine dust created getting sucked into the motor causing premature brushes and/or motor failure?

    1. The warranty will cover the tool as long as proper maintenance is completed per the owner's manual and the issue is not caused by part failure due to normal wear or tool abuse.

    1. The largest square tube it will cut at a 90 degree angle is 4.7".
