how does excess material adjust
where does extra bulk material end up

There are tabs at each corner. You will start it at the middle and then pull the tabs. This will fold over the excess evenly on both sides. For the length it will fold it over at the bottom.

How does the screen work with the door spring cables?

This Toy Hauler screen will work fine with door spring cables. The screen is universal and will install in front of the springs. As long as the measurements are correct, it will fit.
