This Chief G Series 10 gpm directional control valve features a tandem spring center, used for double-acting cylinders that hold in neutral. Constructed from durable cast-iron and packaged complete with an easy-grip handle, this valve handles the toughest use with an adjustable relief range of 1500 - 3625 psi, factory set to 2600 psi. Featuring 2 spools and 4-way, 3 position, tandem center, with spring center to neutral action.

  1. If both levers are in neutral, will the oil transfer through and go back to the tractor?

    1. The model 220907 is a 2 spool 4 way 3 position tandem center valve. The working ports that run to the cylinder are blocked in neutral and will hold. The pump line back to the tank will only hold for a short period of time. You can keep the pump running and it will just cycle back to the tank in neutral. This is an open center valve and is not able to be used on a closed center system.

  3. Can this be used with an open center hydraulic system?

    1. This is an open center valve. For closed center plug (model 220843) or power beyond plug (model 220842) would need to be installed in the N port.

  4. Does this valve have a float detent

    1. This hydraulic valve does not have a float detent. We do not carry this valve with the float detent.

    1. The valve would be capable of power beyond. The part number for the power beyond plug is 4875402. To order this part, you would contact the parts department at 1.800.657.0516.

  6. Item# 4865811 can you use this valve in replacement with a valve that has the byd port? my old valve has byd port.

    1. This directional valve can be used in place of a valve which uses power beyond. Power beyond would go with the inlet port of this valve. If power beyond is required, the manufacturer offers part #220915.
