The Checkers Standard Cellular Ground Protection Mat is designed to withstand pedestrian and light vehicle traffic. It serves as ground reinforcement and stabilization, preventing surface deformation even at high temperatures. Made of 100% recycled high-density polypropylene (HDPE), this durable mat is can withstand weight loads up to 400 tons/m2 and a point load weight of 25 tons. The cellular design of the grid allows the dispersion of excess rain and flood water, so it is ideal for integration into Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) and in areas prone to flooding or with water dispersion problems. GeoGrid is also ideal for use in car parks, access routes, gateway or entrance areas, equestrian areas, fire and emergency routes, private driveways or golf buggy routes. The open portions of the GeoGrid pattern can be filled in with aggregate or decorative stones to provide robust ground reinforcement in areas of high pedestrian or vehicle use and can also be seeded with grass to provide an environmentally friendly and aesthetic solution.Simple interlocking design with tabs on each side are designed to connect with other grid sections.

    1. While the GEO 2.4 system can be installed on sloped surfaces, the underlying ground must be properly prepared to ensure it is even, stable, and free of ruts or irregularities.

  3. On a driveway what is the max slope allowed before the material breaks down because of tire forces? What is the best fill material to maximize traction? Crushed aggregate? What anchors should be used to minimize grid movement?

      We do not have specs on slope. Material to fill is by your choice, if using gravel recommended to use chunkier and heavier gravel. We do not offer anchors for movement. These are meant to go down in the soil. We do recommend you test the product in your environment.

    1. Good morning. The Geo Ground Grid Cellular System GEO-2.4 is designed more for ground stabilization, not traction. Our ground protection matting is likely the better solution. Our LibertyMat model LIB48 might fit your needs.
