  1. good for weed killing

    I have an extremely large drive way would this sprayer work well with Round Up weed killer products?.

    1. Absolutely! i bought one of these sprayers on 7/16/97 I finally blew a hole through the tank on 7/16/17. How funny is that - I remember because it is my wife's Birthday and we poured our slab on that date in 97. I have used this sprayer for cement sealer, weed killing and bug spray. Had it for 20 years and love it. The Secret is to clean it well after each use - just rinse it and run a half gal or so of clean water through it after each use. FYI - Kills All is cheaper - you can get it at your local feed store.

    2. I have used it for quite a few different things so far to see how well it holds up, (diesel fuel, deck sealer, and yes roundup). It works great. The only thing that I recommend, is that you take your time when it comes to cleanup.

  2. Can this sprayer spray deck sealer? Like Thompson's water seal.

    1. I used it to spray concrete sealer which is a heavier fluid. It shouldn't have any issues with deck sealer.

  3. Can we use this for acrylic sealer for concrete?

    1. It’s generally not ideal or recommended for standard acrylic paints, especially water‑based latex/acrylic house paints or high‑solids coatings. The Chapin 1949 is compatible if the acrylic concrete sealer is a low‑viscosity, non‑acetone formulation designed for sealing concrete surfaces. When spraying thin, low‑viscosity acrylic concrete sealers, the 1949 typically performs well with proper dilution (if recommended) and thorough cleaning.

    1. The sprayer would be used only with chemicals for concrete.

    Asphalt sealant is basically tar based, but it also contains some sand.
