Product Summary

The Champion Power Equipment 5500-Watt features CO Shield® carbon monoxide auto shutoff system. This Open Frame Inverter Generator is smaller, quieter, and BETTER! Quiet Technology digital components cut the noise level in half, and the efficient mechanical design decreases the overall footprint and weight by 20 percent. Operate your Dual-Fuel generator on gasoline or propane and easily switch fuels with our EZ Start Dial. Using gasoline, the 224cc Champion engine produces 5500 starting watts and 4000 running watts, and will run for 13 hours at 25% load when the 2.9-gallon fuel tank is full. It produces 5500 starting watts and 3600 running watts, and will run for 16 hours at 25% load when using a 20-pound propane tank. A 6ft. propane hose with a built-in regulator is included. Cold Start Technology ensures reliable starts, Intelligauge with power meter monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours, while Economy Mode monitors power consumption in real time to reduce electrical load. With a 0.6-quart oil capacity (included 10W-30) and a low oil shut-off sensor, this inverter operates at a quiet 70 dBA from 23ft., which is a bit louder than normal speech. Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (less than 3% THD). Covered outlets include a 120V 30A RV (TT-30R), a 120V 20A household duplex outlet (5-20R), and a 12V DC automotive-style outlet. The optional Parallel Kit (sold separately), with included standard 50-amp RV outlet, provides a clip-on connection which allows you to connect with another Parallel Ready Champion Inverter or Power Station for more power and longer run time.
