The Century Inverter Arc® 230 Stick Welder is compact for portability and has a 10 to 155 amp output that supports mild steel stick electrode diameters from 5/64in. to 5/32in. The smooth arc provides strong welds on 14 gauge sheet metal to 5/16in. thick steel. It has a 30% duty cycle at 150 amps that allows it to run 3 minutes out of each 10-minute period without overheating. A continuous amperage control permits exact temperature setting for consistent welds.

  1. Can this be used with a power converter? For example a 220 power converter plugged in to a 110 outlet

    1. This cannot be used with a 110 Volt to 220 Volt converter. This welder draws 50 amps. A 50 amp breaker or larger is required.

    1. A 1/16", 5/64" and 3/32" 6013 rod can be used with this welder. A 1/16", 5/64", 3/32" and 1/8" 6011 rod can also be used. It can be used with 1/16", 5/64" and 3/32" 7018 rod as well.

    1. This unit can weld up to 18 gauge sheet metal at 10 amps. It cannot weld 24 gauge sheet metal.
