If you just need a rag for general wiping, you may want to check out a colored cloth option. The colored rags offer price savings compared to the non-bleed options. New White T-shirt Knit Wiping Cloths - NEW WASHED BLEACHED KNIT - ALL SMOOTH - Pre-consumer t-shirt material, washed and bleached to increase absorbency, all smooth t-shirt material, perfect for paint/stain applications. Ever wondered how a white t-shirt is made? Long sheets of cloth are stacked on top of each other. The outline of a t-shirt is cut out of the sheets of cloth then transported to the sewing department to be sewed together. This eventually forms what you know as a t-shirt. During the outline cutting process, thousands of pounds of excess cloth is left over. In steps Carolina Textiles! We take that excess cloth, cut it to size (approximately 15x15) to make the new white t-shirt rags. This material is pre-consumer mill end cotton. Essentially meaning that the rags are t-shirt material that was never made into a t-shirt. If you don’t want to use recycled wiping cloths, then the new white knits are a great option for all your general wiping needs. They are low lint, light to medium weight, and have much more consistent cuts when compared to the recycled t-shirt rags. They may not absorb quite as well as the recycled knits, but if you are looking for a prettier and more standard rag, this is the wiping cloth grade for you! PS They work great at cleaning windows streak free.
