    1. Although two fans can be controlled with one remote, the manufacturer does not recommend it. If one fan does not get the signal, they get mixed up and it can be really tricky getting the fans in sync again.

  4. Can this can be mounted without a down rod? I have 11ft ceilings and would like to mount it without the down rod to maximize coverage area.
