    How is it shipped or packaged? How many pieces?

    1. Fire box is one piece. Inside the fire box packed nicely are 4 legs, 2 roof pieces, 2 gable ends, the square chime stack, front ashtray and accessories. Be sure to pull the fire box out of the carboard box, then remove each of the required pieced for assembly from the top of the fire box not the front where you load wood.

    Hi, how many inches high is the compartment underneath the grate, where the wood or charcoal wood be placed to burn?

    1. The grate measures 12.4" L x 16"W. The area under the grate measures 21" L x 14.5" W x 5.5" H.

  9. I have a few questions...

    1) Does it come with the grate?
    2) How many inches wide is the opening?
    3) How many inches high from the floor to the tray?

    1. The grate is included with the Chiminea. The opening is 16 1/4 inches wide, 7 inches high at the edges, and 10 1/8 inches high in the center. The height from floor to the top of the shelf is 16 inches with a shelf thickness of 7/8 inches.

    Hi,

    Does the front of this stove close to use it as an oven as well? Or is it just for grilling? It is hard to tell if there is a hinge to make that shelf a door in the picture or if that is just a shelf. Thank you!

    1. This cooking chiminea does not have a door to close, only a shelf as pictured. It is able to be used for grilling or as a brick-style oven.
