One-Touch Operation

No more cranking your arm off to raise or lower your trailer. With one simple push of a button the power stroke plus system raises or lowers your trailer 18 inches in just 30 seconds. And the manual crank override gives you an additional 6 inches of travel for 24in. total height.

    1. Yes, its just a 12 volt DC motor that turns a threaded actuator both directions.

    5. My particular rv trailer is a 29 foot camper and weights around 7,000 pounds towing weight. This product has no problem powering up and down. I would recommend this electric jack.

    9. As for power I have been useing mine to lift high enough even with equalizers connected (~ 6600lb Tow behind camper/Silverado 4x4) . It lifts truck as well untill I'm at proper relief height to remove equilizers with little effort

  2. is the bolt pattern universal

    1. There is a triangular (3 bolt) pattern which appears to me to be universal. Fit my trailer tongue perfectly.

    2. Yes. The A or 3 hole triangle configuration was the same as on my camper, but I had to make my Jack's housing cavity wider on my camper. However, my camper's jack housing was a jerry-rig job, not to standard width like should be on your camper. I had to shave off about a 1/8 of metal all around the housing cavity in order for the jack to go into. Took about an hour.

    3. I looked at several campers and this electric jack has the standard triangle pattern where the three bolts attach. The toggle switch (for up and down operation) will be towards the front and the light switch will be in the back. But to answer you question, yes, it seems to be the standard triangle pattern.

    6. the 3 bolt triangle is the same as a standard trailer jack. unbolt your old one and bolt this one right up. I did add larger thicker washers to mine to be safe since I have a heavy load most times.

    8. It has a standard 3 bolt pattern that will allow it to replace the hand crank you already have installed. Just remove the old and replace with the new.

  3. Pickup tailgates

    Can the tailgate on a pickup truck be opened without hitting jack or touching the jack or do you have to have a extra long hitch?

    1. My 2016 F150 4x4 was in danger of hitting my trailer jack. I had this electric jack still in the box from 2012. I took it to a welding shop and asked a guy to install it but move it back a little. My tail gate now clears the jack. I would have had to move it a little with either one.

      Now my problem is getting power to the electric jack since my truck didn’t come with that connector pin powered up. As described in the instructions, this can be a fairly common problem.

    2. It clears buy about 1 1/2'' on my super duty,but I am using a adjustable leveling hitch on my camper.

    3. when lowered, a pick-up tail gate will be much lower than the highest point of the jack.

    4. This unit has a minimum height of 9 1/16" inches and maximum height of is 26 11/16" inches. I would advise measuring your tailgate in the up and down positions to see if this unit would coincide with our application.

  4. Can this unit be direct wired to the battery?

    1. Yes, but in my application (mounting it on my bumper pull camper) the wires were to short & had to be extended.

  5. I noticed it looked like it had a leveling bubble on it, does it have to be level?

    1. No, just handy if using on a camper to aid in set up.

    2. No, the jack itself doesn't need to be level, the bubble is a convenience for you when using the jack to level your trailer without needing a separate level. How accurate it may be will be up to the exact build of your trailer, so you need to compare the indication of this level against your other level(s) before relying only on the jack's level.

    3. This unit does come with a level gauge and it would be strongly recommended to level the unit.

  6. How or what kind of connector do you use to hook up the 12 volt connection?

    1. It has a 7 pin adapter installed so just plug it into your outlet on your vehicle

    2. The jack comes wired with a 7-prong RV plug that plugs into the standard 7-prong RV recepticle that is found on most pickups and larger SUVs. If your recepticle is wired correctly, it should work fine; otherwise you'll have a little wiring to do (you'll need to get a heavy, fused "hot wire" to back of your truck). I was expecting to wire it when I ordered the jack, but was very pleased to see the plug already to go. What I like about it, is that you can use trailer and this jack with ANY truck or SUV with a 7-prong RV recepticle.

    3. The electric jack comes with a 7 pin pigtail that simply plugs into your vehicles hook up. You simply bolt it on with the 3 bolts.

  8. What amp fuse is required to properly operate the trailer star 3500lb jack

    1. It has a 20 amp breaker built in

    2. A 20A breaker will allow 50A of current for 10 seconds. That would give any "power boost" required. The amp draw under load is 50 amp and no load draw is 15 amp.

  9. Will this work with a boat trailer?

    The catalog suggest there is a video "online" for this product but, i cannot find it. Will this work on a boat trailer?

    1. yes, it will work for a boat trailer, but the section rising above the frame is quite a bit longer than a standard crank-type jack. make sure you have enough room.

    2. This electric jack will work with any trailer including boat trailers which have an A-frame hitch.

  10. Is it a 2" or 2.25" diameter tube?

    1. This is a 2.25" tube, and I used this jack as an exact replacement for a 2.25" manual jack. It fit exactly in place with no problems.
