  1. Can this adapter be used either way meaning if you have a 2” receiver, insert the 2” side of the adapter into the hitch so that you can receive a 2 1/2” shank?   Basically going from a 2” to a 2 1/2”.

    1. The adapter is only able to install into the hitch one specific way. There is a stop tab that prevents the adapter from sliding out of alignment.
