  1. What is the diameter of the link on the small ring?

    In certain cases I will need to use another chain to reach the intended client shrub

    1. 2.5 " and I would pull form the larger ring once its wrapped around the shrub.

    2. The ring itself is 1/2" in diameter. The inside diameter of the circle is 21/4". I use a chain as well and the hook on my chain works great.

    3. The diameter of the rod used to make the ring is about a 1/2" and the ring itself is about 2 1/2" ID. I have used a 5/16" link chain as an extender.

    4. The small loop on the Brush Grubber is 2 1/2" ID.

  2. Can you use it for things other than brush?  For example to pull out clothesline poles or fence posts sunk in concrete?

    1. The Clump Grubber HD is designed for use on shallow rooted trees and brush. It is not recommended to be used on clothes line poles or fence posts that are incased in concrete.

  3. It says to pull from the larger ring. How is it going to tighten since the smaller ring needs to go thru the larger one to sinch it up tight.

    1. You would wrap the Clump Grubber around the shrub or clump with the no slip grip teeth on the chains facing towards the shrub or clump. Then place the small loop through the larger loop and cinch the chain 180 degrees from where you are pulling to tighten it. You would then hook the grubber tugger chain to the small loop and attach the other end of the chain to your ATV or UTV. These instructions are listed in the product manual on our web.

  4. Any problem using with a truck instead of UTV/ATV?

    1. The unit is rated for use with a UTV/ ATV only. Using a truck would not be recommended.
